Choosing the direction of the volume toggle switch

Depending on which side of your head you prefer to wear your headset, you may find that the direction of the volume toggle switch to be counter-intuitive. EPOS DECT headsets allow you to change the direction of this switch to match your preferences.

How to change the direction of the volume toggle switch

1. First of all, you will need to identify the current direction of 'volume down' on your headset.
2. Once you know this, you will need to press and hold both the multifunction button and the volume toggle switch* simultaneously for five seconds, or until the LED on your headset begins to alternately flash red and blue.
3. Once the LED is flashing red and blue, now press and hold the the volume toggle in the current 'volume down' direction which you identified earlier.
4. When the LED ceases to flash, the direction of the volume toggle switch has been reassigned and the headset goes into standby mode.

*When performing step 2, it is important to press the volume toggle down into the headset, as if you were to mute your microphone, and not to the left or right, as if you were adjusting the volume.
