Once again, EPOS partners up with award-winning creative agency &Co. / NoA and Danish director Bertil Vorre for new campaign movie presenting EPOS BrainAdaptTM.
Copenhagen, Denmark, December 14th, 2022 – Danish premium audio brand EPOS recently rolled out the launch of its campaign movie presenting the newly introduced scientific approach to brain health and better gaming audio; EPOS BrainAdaptTM.
Supported by recent research studies and based around the promise of better conditions for your brain leading to better communication, faster reaction times and better in-game decision making, the campaign movie presents EPOS BrainAdapt™, a group of pioneering technologies that work together to improve cognitive performance, in a fun, different and cinematic package drawing inspiration from the world of gaming while tapping into pop culture elements, including the popular “Karen” reference.
The concept is created in close collaboration between EPOS and &Co. / NoA, Campaign Global Creative Agency of the Year.
On the creative idea behind the campaign, Art Director Jeppe Hansen from &Co. /NoA explains:
“Gamers optimize on everything that can give them an advantage. EPOS BrainAdaptTM is really about fine tuning your gaming experience and giving you the edge over your opponents, including those controlled by the computer. As with everything else that enhances the performance of human gamers, it’s the mobs and the creeps that get hit the hardest. We therefore wanted to find a representative for the *NPC community and hear what they have to say about EPOS BrainAdapt.”
On directing the film, award winning Danish director Bertil Vorre says:
“As someone who’s worked in the videogame industry (and, naturally, spent a lot of time playing videogames too), this project was an absolute joy to work on. I'm a particular fan of character design for games, so it was a lot of fun figuring out what the “Karen” stereotype would look like in the script’s “NPC stepping out into the real world” scenario. Poor Karen has been through a lot in her life, getting killed over and over again by thoughtless gamers. I felt like she needed that extra drop of built-up frustration, which we managed to show with crazy makeup, visual effects, and a twist of absurd comedy.”
EPOS’ Director of Brand Management and Global Gaming Marketing, Maja Frølunde Sand-Grimnitz, adds:
“We are very excited to bring our audio expertise and gaming passion to the community, even though we are aware that it can be a highly technical subject to convey in today’s media landscape with only few seconds to capture the audience’s attention. We hope that the movie will stand out and make our community intrigued and curious to know more. In the end, the ultimate goal for EPOS is to help facilitate and engage in a dialogue around how audio can elevate the gaming experience.”
